PROJECT LEADER
Paul Birke Abaroa Paul Birke Abaroa (1970). Architect from the Universidad Central and Master’s degree from the UPC and the CCCB in Barcelona. Since 1994, he has developed architectural projects with a special emphasis on heritage. In 2003, he founded the contemporary art gallery Die Ecke, a space from which he has promoted the representation of artists and the practice of collecting. His career includes more than one hundred exhibitions in Santiago, as well as active participation in international art fairs and exhibitions at both local and foreign museums. Between 2010 and 2020, he directed a branch of the gallery in Barcelona, establishing it as a European showcase for Latin American art, with a special focus on the Chilean scene. Currently, he is dedicated to the management and production of exhibition, publishing, and artistic research projects.
RESEARCH CURATOR
María Victoria Martínez Fadic María Victoria Martínez Fadic (1988). Bachelor of Visual Arts from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. Diploma in Curatorial Studies from the Adolfo Ibáñez University. She has worked as a professor at the Catholic University’s Extension Center and as an exhibition producer at the Museum of Solidarity Salvador Allende. She has served as an assistant researcher at the Recoleta Dominica Heritage Library. Her field of work has specialized in libraries and artist archives. Since 2021, she has been in charge of Archives, Records, and Research at the Félix Maruenda Cultural Foundation, and since 2023, she has been in charge of Collaborations at the Die Ecke Contemporary Art gallery.
ASSISTANT RESEARCHER
Magdalena Lizarraga Nardocci Magdalena Lizarraga Nardocci (1988). Bachelor’s degree in Theater Design from Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, Milan. Master’s degree in Contemporary Art Curation from ESEADE, Buenos Aires. Master’s degree in Digital Design from CFP Bauer, Milan. She has worked on the creation, management, and production of cultural projects in various contexts between Chile and Italy, including the 61ª Esposizione Internazionale d'Arte della Biennale di Venezia 2026 – In Minor Keys, de Koyo Kouohwhere she was part of the team in charge of the Chilean Pavilion. In 2024, she joined the team at Die Ecke Contemporary Art gallery for the Fondart research project on Francisco Copello. Her practice lies at the intersection of cultural management and production, research, and curatorial practices. Her interdisciplinary career integrates contemporary art, stage design, and visual technologies.
