After living a year in a small piece in Greenpoint, a neighborhood Polish in north Brooklyn, in New York, the artist moved within the same neighborhood to a more industrial, on Huron street, the place where he lived and worked between 2009 and 2011. During that time, stocked again with a good workshop, he began to perform rubbed large-format rolls of 152.40 cm wide. Circle (Planet Oil), is the rubbing of the cover from the oil reservoir of a gas station a few blocks from his workshop in Greenpoint. Years after the artist joined the environmental movement, where he participated in actions against large corporations, extractive oil, at various times and places, singing ‘Leave the oil in the ground / Leave the oil in the ground’ with the Stop Shopping Choir, of which it is a part.
