A few months after the official recognition of Sign Language Italian (LIS), in Italy, Benitez performed MILANO PAH!, a three-day workshop on Milan, LIS and the archipelago of the Deaf, a project curated by Eugenia Delfini involving various communities and institutions, The.Di.Qua.Artists, Standards Studios, NABA Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, among others. The project is considering the impact of the Milan conference of 1880, an event controversial in the history of deaf people who had profound implications for the entire world to the detriment of the education in sign language. How do you perceive the community of Milan this historical landmark? How have things changed? What perspectives we provide, after the recent legal recognition officer of the LIS on the part of Italian law? What role can play in the spaces of art in the increase of the accessibility for deaf communities? These were some of the questions that were addressed in meetings with artists, teachers, performers, designers, architects, and managers of accessibility deaf to expand the knowledge of the deaf culture and foster future collaborations. At the end of the project, Benitez made this rubbed soil on the poster of his project " MILANO PAH!, on the sidewalk in Via Privata Angiolo Maffucci, outside of Standards Studio.
